Flashback Theater Co. (FbTC) will be holding open auditions on Thursday, January 7th at 7 p.m. and Saturday, January 9th  at 10 a.m. for its spring season of shows and events, including Oscar Wilde’s The Importance of Being Earnest, the Let’s Play! acting company, and the season announcement cabaret. Auditions will be held at the Carnegie Community Arts Center. Actors need only attend one of the audition times.

Actors interested in auditioning can choose to apply to one or all of the opportunities. Details about the available roles are below. The audition will first consist of improvisation exercises. Prepared monologues and song packages will follow, with cold readings from the script of Earnest to round out the evening.

All actors should be prepared to do cold readings and improv exercises. Those wishing to be considered for The Importance of Being Earnest should also prepare a 60-90 second monologue. Those wishing to be considered for the cabaret should prepare a song or monologue of their choice that they would like to showcase at our season announcement cabaret. (The monologue for the Earnest audition may also be considered for the cabaret if the actor auditions for both.)
