Participants will have individualized schedules based on their registration placement, but can expect to attend all of the above courses throughout the day.

What to Bring

  • Wear comfortable clothing and bring footwear suitable for the dance course. (Character shoes are preferred but any well fitting soft soled shoe will be sufficient.)
  • Bring something to write with and something to write on daily.
  • Each student should have a prepared monologue of 1-2 minutes and at least 32 bars of a musical theater song to work during their daily coursework.
  • Students with a songbook are encouraged to bring it daily.

Registration Information

Public registration will open in March 2020.
Members of FbTC and MMC may reserve a spot in advance by calling (606) 303-3325. Payment for priority registration will be due by March. Unpaid reservations will be released when public registration opens.

Registration Fee $300/student
MMC Members $225/student

Participants must be 14-19 years old.  

Although there is no audition process, registered students will be asked to prepare and upload a video of their monologue and song to determine course placement. Application videos for other programs will be acceptable.

From the age of 10, Maria had the opportunity to study under well-accomplished singers/musicians and graduated with honors from the Chicago Academy for the Arts. She later graduated from Berklee College of Music with a professional music degree in vocal performance and songwriting.

Sommer has worked for theater companies such as Arena Stage, Cincinnati Shakespeare, and Commonwealth Theatre Company. She has performed, directed, and designed for numerous shows.

Ginny enjoys working with private students on flute, guitar, piano, singing, ukulele and violin, and also enjoys working with groups: choirs, concert bands, modern bands, and leading movement activities with children.

Cathy’s professional career included performing at the 1982 Worlds Fair, a role in the movie “Cocoon”, and as the choreographer for many shows in FL., N.C. and IN. She previously owned a dance studio in northern Kentucky and is now a dance instrustor at Pep & Pizzazz.

Amanda is a middle school Music, Drama, and Choir teacher for the Casey County School district.  Amanda is originally from McCreary County, KY, where she grew up very active in her church choir and youth group choir.
