Flashback Theater Co. seeks Lake Cumberland area visual artists interested in creating artwork for the 2025-26 Season of Productions at Flashback Theater. Artists of all visual mediums are encouraged to share their unique styles and perspectives. The chosen artist will create four unique art pieces aligning with the four productions of the upcoming season. The artwork created by the artist will be used on posters, postcards, social media, and merchandise throughout the 2025-26 season. Compensation will be provided in the form of a stipend of $500.

Though we are open to seeing examples of other mediums, Flashback’s season artist has traditionally worked in digital art. Provided below are examples of how past artwork has been utilized in posters, postcards, and other digital media. When choosing examples of your work to submit, think about how this artwork highlights what YOU would put on our poster, if given the opportunity.

To submit their work, artists should email 3-4 examples of their work to Flashback Theater’s Marketing Coordinator, Alex George, [email protected]. Please include “Season Artwork Submission” in the subject line, and submit by April 18th.

Two to three artists will be chosen for a final round, where they will be asked to create a rough draft of artwork for their choice of one of the four productions from next season. The final artist will be chosen based on their alignment with the company’s vision for the 2025-26 marketing materials.
