Auditions for 2 upcoming shows

Auditions for Flashback Theater Co.’s upcoming shows And the Tide Shall Cover the Earth and Circle Mirror Transformation will be held on May 24, May 26 & June 2-3 by appointment only. Actors should prepare a 1-2 minute dramatic monologue and be ready to do a cold read during their audition time. And the Tide Shall Cover the Earth

Performance Dates: Aug. 7-9 & 14-16.
Rehearsals: Flexible based on actors’ availability given at auditions. Primarily rehearsals will be three weeks before performance, but one or two rehearsals will be held in June and the beginning of July. Actors cast in leading roles must be available for most, if not all, rehearsals.

Geneva, 12-15. A bit tomboyish. Leading role.

Granny, 50s or 60s. Geneva’s stubborn grandmother. Leading role.

Alice, Geneva’s cousin of about the same age.

Mattie, 30s. Geneva’s mother. Time has been tough on her.

Dade, 30s. Geneva’s father. Weathered by work. Will double as government man.

Kendall, 9-13. Alice’s younger brother.

Betty Lou, 7-10. Alice’s younger sister.

Circle Mirror Transformation

Performance Dates: Nov. 6-8 & 13-15.
Rehearsals: Primarily rehearsals will be in the evenings of the three weeks before performance, but one or two rehearsals may be held in September and/or the beginning of October. This is an ensemble cast so all actors are expected to be available for most rehearsals, but there is some flexibility for conflicts.

Marty, 55. Female. Theater workshop instructor.

James, 60. Male. Marty’s husband.

Schultz, 48. Male. A carpenter and artist who is recently divorced.

Theresa, 35. Female. Former actress from New York City.

Lauren, 16. Female. Aspires to be an actress.
